185 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be admitted to the Mater Hospital immediately for triple by-pass surgery; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11959/99]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance in the responsibility of the voluntary hospital concerned. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
