129 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the consideration, if any, he has given to publishing an information leaflet on infertility in view of the need to highlight the subject particularly male infertility. [12315/99]
I have no plans at present to publish such a leaflet. However, in 1996 and again in 1998 my Department provided funding, through the national lottery, to the National Infertility Support and Information Group, whose objectives include heightening awareness of infertility among the general public by means of media campaigns and the production of circulars and leaflets. The organisation can be contacted at PO Box 131, Eglington Street, Cork. People who are concerned about infertility may also wish to discuss their concerns with their general practitioner, who will provide information in relation to specialist services available.
