38 Mr. Broughan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the way in which her Department will ensure that there is no shortfall in the provision of services in the social economy throughout the partnership and other deprived areas in the 13 Objective One in transition counties. Decisions on the resourcing to be committed to various policy fields in the 2000-2006 period will be taken by Government over coming months in the context of the next National Development Plan. The process of preparing the plan is being led by the Minister for Finance. It will cover the investment needs of both the Objective One and transition regions. I am confident, despite reduced levels of EU funding over the coming period, that the needs of both regions will be addressed as fully as possible.
