Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
In order to be considered for payment of headage grants herdowners must submit a valid area aid application for the relevant year. The area aid application of the person named was received on 3 December 1998 and consequently under EU regulations cannot be accepted. The closing date for receipt of 1998 applications was 15 May 1998. Where applications were submitted up to 9 June 1998 they could be accepted and a penalty applied. No payments can issue on foot of applications received after 9 June 1998.
