The purpose will be to add a number of potentially misusable substances to the Schedules covered by the Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 and 1984. The effect of the Regulations will be to make it an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 to possess these substances without an appropriate licence or authority.
