62 Mr. J. Brady asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the Bill to place the national beef assurance scheme on a statutory footing will be presented before the Oireachtas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13625/99]
The drafting of a Bill to put the national beef assurance scheme on a statutory footing is at an advanced stage and will be finalised shortly, following which it will be presented to the Government seeking authorisation to circulate it to Deputies and to present it to the Oireachtas.
