153 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the details, if any, he has received of a motion passed by the Midland Health Board at its meeting on 20 May 1999 on bringing forward the planning and completion of phase 2B of Longford Westmeath General Hospital; the immediate steps, if any, he will take to address the contents of this motion in view of the urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that I have recently given approval to the Midland Health Board to establish a project team to commence the planning of phase 2B of Longford-Westmeath General Hospital. The project team will be representative of the health board, hospital staff and officers of my Department.
