Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science the response, if any, from his Department to an application from Scoil Mhanacháin Naofa, Tubber, County Offaly (details supplied) for extended school facilities, urgent rewiring and plumbing and an extra classroom; his views on whether these works are necessary in view of the age of the school, actual and projected enrolment increases and modern curriculum demands; when officials of his Department will visit the school to inspect its needs; if the works applied for will be sanctioned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
