188 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a medical certificate submitted on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath was not accepted as a force majeure reason for his withdrawal from the REP scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Unfortunately long-term incapacity of the spouse of a REP scheme beneficiary is not acceptable in the context of force majeure provisions.
