Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.
The approved staffing for my Department is 810 posts, comprised of 630 core posts and 180 temporary supernumerary posts. There are currently 50 vacancies half of which are in the clerical grade and the remainder are at various levels including posts recently sanctioned for the equality authority designate. As the Deputy is aware difficulties are being encountered throughout the Civil Service in recruiting staff to fill vacant positions. My Department is actively endeavouring to fill all vacant posts at the earliest possible date.
