406 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science the consideration, if any, his Department has given to a site (details supplied) for a new post primary school in Dunmanway, County Cork; the position regarding this matter; and if the new school will be a community college or a community school. My Department's planning and building section are investigating a number of sites for the proposed new post primary school in Dunmanway, County Cork including the site referred to by the Deputy.
The Deputy can be assured that every effort is being made to expedite the process of site acquisition.
A decision has not yet been taken as to whether the proposed new school will be a community school or a community college.
