111 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance the steps, if any, he will take to ensure that a recent application for tax free allowance by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath is dealt with immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17039/99]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's recent application for a certificate of tax free allowances is currently being processed and a new certificate will issue shortly.
