248 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the provision of the proposed extra facilities at Confey College, Leixlip, County Kildare; the timescale and number of remaining developmental stages in respect of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The stage 5 documentation for the proposed extension to Confey College, Leixlip has been examined within my Department. However, a number of items need to be clarified with the design team before authorisation to invite tenders can issue to the chief executive officer of Kildare VEC.

As soon as these matters are resolved satisfactorily, approval to invite tenders for the project will issue to County Kildare Vocational Education Committee.
