251 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in regard to the extra facilities required at Scoil Iognáid Rís, Naas, County Kildare; the precise extent and nature of the facilities to be provided; the timescale involved; the number, if any, of outstanding development stages still to be gone through; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department's post primary building unit has agreed in principle to grant aid an extension of 1,782 square metres at Scoil Iognáid Rís, Naas, County Kildare to cater for a long-term enrolment figure of 800 students.
The schedules of accommodation have issued to the school authorities for acceptance. On receipt of agreement to these schedules, the precise details of the proposed development will be determined.
Thereafter, consideration will be given to the appointment of a design team to commence architectural planning of the development.
