Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

277 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1998 headage payments. [17527/99]

The person named was paid his full entitlement of £750 under the 1998 sheep headage scheme on 29 October 1998. The sheep headage top-up of £75 was paid to him on 30 November 1998. The person named applied on seven beef cows and 11 other animals under the 1998 cattle headage scheme. One of the beef cows applied on – PNA388429 – was not in his ownership and possession at the time of application and consequently, in accordance with the terms and conditions governing the scheme, he was ruled out of the 1998 cattle headage scheme for one year. The person named appealed this decision to the headage and premia appeals unit where, while the case was fully re-examined, the decision was upheld.
