292 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of applications reviewed for the new installation aid grant; the time period involved in the assessment of each application to approval stage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17616/99]
Since the national scheme of installation aid was introduced last December, 759 applications have been received to date. Applications are, on average, processed to approval stage within three months of receipt. However, where additional documentation is outstanding there is a longer period involved in the processing of such applications.
