Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

421 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the 14 week delay in arranging an appointment with a specialist in Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if an early appointment will be made; his views on the waiting lists at this hospital for appointments; and if he has satisfied himself in this regard. [17253/99]

The provision of medical services to eligible persons in county Kilkenny in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive office of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
