Ceist:

423 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of prosecutions, if any, brought pursuant to section 3 of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Act, 1978; the body which instituted these prosecutions in respect of each year; the convictions secured; and the fines imposed in this regard. The health boards who are the enforcing authorities in this matter have advised that no prosecutions were brought under section 3 of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Act, 1987.
