Written Answers. - Constitutional Amendments.
As I mentioned in the House in reply to a similar question on 12 May last, I asked Government Departments to report back to me on proposals for constitutional amendments in relation to their functional areas of responsibility arising from the recommendations of the All-Party Oireachtas Committee on the Constitution and from the programme for Government. My Department is currently examining the responses received from other Departments and is considering how proposals for constitutional amendments might best be brought forward in a structured and consolidated way. I intend to report to Government on this matter at an early date.
