Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Liam Aylward

Ceist:

524 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is a delay of over three months in having pathology reports made available by a hospital (details supplied) in County Waterford; if his attention has further been drawn to the fact that death certificates cannot be expedited as a result; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18276/99]

The provision of hospital services in County Waterford is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
