Ceist:543 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when the recent salary increase for county council overseers will be reflected in the pensions of the retired overseers. [18510/99]
Written Answers. - Pension Provisions.
I assume the Deputy is referring to the recent agreement which provided for pay increases for rural road overseers. The agreement is a complex one involving assimilation of people from an old to a new pay scale. My Department is at present considering the pension implications of the agreement and will notify local authorities of the position as soon as possible.
