627 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the current position in relation to the application for capital funding made by an organisation (details supplied) in respect of its proposed development in Finglas, Dublin 11; when a decision will be reached; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Molloy):

An application by Dublin Corporation for approval to the making of a loan of £1,482,499 in respect of the provision of 22 dwellings and a communal facility under the rental subsidy scheme was approved in January 1997. Following a re-design of the project, a revised loan application was recently submitted and is presently being examined in my Department.
