718 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the up to date position in respect of sites being offered or selected for the visitors' centre in Ballycroy, Westport, County Mayo; and the progress regarding this centre. [17690/99]
Six sites were identified as possible locations for the visitor centre. These are being assessed by officials from Dúchas, the heritage service of my Department, in consultation with the Office of Public Works. Once a suitable site has been selected its acquisition and the subsequent planning and design of the centre will be processed in the normal manner.
