Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

776 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the inadequate conditions at Finglas Garda station, Dublin 11, where the standard of accommodation is unsatisfactory for officers and the public; and if this station will be replaced or upgraded as a matter of urgency in view of the fact that it is serving a population of 35,000 people. [18047/99]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the existing facilities at Finglas Garda station are considered adequate to meet the policing requirements of the locality and that they accordingly have no proposals to upgrade the Garda station.
