912 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide a replacement school on an adequate site in view of the physical state of Cleggan national school, County Galway; his response to the application by the board of management; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application for a new school has been received from the board of management of Cleggan national school, County Galway.
In accordance with normal procedures, the planning section is currently reviewing the long-term accommodation needs of the school. My Department's technical staff have also been asked to report on the facilities at the existing school.
