951 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education and Science if a resource teacher or classroom assistant will be afforded to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11; the reason for the delay in arranging this teacher; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18336/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 928, 929 and 951 together.

I am pleased to inform the Deputies that a resource teacher post was sanctioned on a shared basis to the school in question with effect from September 1999. The post is based in Mother of Divine Grace school and is shared with three other schools.

My Department's inspectorate is currently investigating the level of child care support required by the school. Officials from my Department will be in contact with the school regarding this matter in the very near future.

The application for computer equipment is currently being considered and the school will be informed of the final decision in the very near future.
