117 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children when provision will be made for surgery for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare for removal of cataracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18466/99]
The provision of ophthalmic treatment in this case is, in the first instance, the responsibility of the hospital concerned.
The Deputy should therefore ascertain the name of the hospital the person referred to is attending and request the chief executive officer of that hospital to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
