122 Mr. McDowell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will list the contracts awarded since the 1995 to 1999 Operational Programme for Transport was decided on, including capital expenditure and other consultancy work commissioned in connection with any aspect of investment in transport; the cost of all contracts awarded, including all those not yet completed; and the names of the contractors and others involved in each contract, for example, consultant engineers, architects, quantity surveyors, economic consultants and accountancy companies. Details of contracts awarded by my Department under the technical assistance programme of the Operational Programme for Transport 1994-99 since its commencement are set out in the following table.

Details of contracts awarded by other implementing bodies under the operational programme are not maintained or co-ordinated by my Department in the context of its responsibilities for monitoring the programme which is focused at programme rather than project level. Such details are maintained by the implementing agencies concerned, including the NRA, local authorities, CIE, port authorities and Aer Rianta.
