68 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health and Children the support his Department has in place for the Eastern Health Board in order for the board to acquire the Meath Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18188/99]

The Eastern Health Board has been in discussion with my Department in regard to the purchase of the Meath Hospital site. I expect to be in a position to make a final decision on the purchase in the near future.
