On 21 September 1999 I approved, with modifications, the environmental impact statement for Phase III of the proposed Church Road improvement scheme. Construction of the scheme will now be implemented by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and I understand that contract documents are now being finalised with a view to going to tender as soon as possible.
