264 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the amount of finance allocated to each county council under the local improvement schemes grant for 1999; and the number of applications in each county council on the waiting list to be considered. [18815/99]
I refer to the reply to Question No. 141 of 21 April 1999 which gave details of the allocations to county councils in 1999 under the local improvements scheme – LIS.
In response to a circular issued by the Department to local authorities on 7 December 1998 details were obtained about the number of LIS applications on hands at the end of 1998. The information is set out in the following table.
