351 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science the funds, if any, he has set aside in order to provide grant aid for secondary schools to re-equip woodwork rooms; and the amount of money paid out in the past 12 months in this regard. [18612/99]
Historically, priority has been afforded to new and refurbished accommodation when allocating funding for the provision of furniture and equipment. A school presenting a cogent case for the provision of funding for re-equipping specialist rooms is examined on its merits.
Records within my Department do not differentiate between equipping and re-equipping specialist rooms.
