126 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of money paid to the Western Health Board for the past three years from pensioners as contribution amounts for the special housing aid for the elderly scheme; the amounts for each county in the health board area; and the corresponding number of applications for these amounts. [23000/99]
As the Deputy is aware, the special housing aid scheme for the elderly is administered in the Western Health Board area by the board on behalf of the Department of Environment and Local Government.
The information requested by the Deputy is not immediately available in my Department. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to compile this information and forward it to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
