I am informed by the Garda authorities that Garda Síochána annual reports describe larcenies in terms of the property types involved. The statistics do not distinguish between larcenies by finding and other larcenies. The information sought is therefore not readily available and could only be obtained by the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of staff time and resources.
