72 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the 1998 report of the inspector of mental hospitals is being withheld from publication by his Department; when it will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22849/99]
The report of the inspector of mental hospitals for the year ending 31 December 1998 was published on 5 November 1999. I wish to clarify that there was no question of this report being withheld from publication by my Department. The report was received from the printers on 14 October last and was published on the nearest convenient date thereafter.
