I am pleased to inform the Deputy that a major refurbishment of both Ballybunion Garda station, County Kerry, and the associated official accommodation has been approved at a cost of £52,000.
To this end, a contract was placed for the refurbishment works on 28 October last and work on the scheme will commence shortly. The works include a reslating of the roof, an overhaul of windows, the installation of a new heating system and kitchen units, electrical works, a new screen in the public office and a complete interior redecoration.
