Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Durkan – the serious housing crisis in County Kildare with particular reference to meeting the needs of first-time house buyers; (2) Deputy Sargent – the failure to include the construction of the northern Luas line in the national development plan; (3) Deputy Lawlor – the urgent need for full Exchequer funding for the continuation of the education project in disadvantaged areas of Clondalkin; (4) Deputy Ring – the need for the widening of a bridge, details supplied, in County Mayo; (5) Deputy Michael D. Higgins – the need for the Department of Health and Children to make capital provision for rape crisis centres; (6) Deputy Timmins – the failure of the Minister for Public Enterprise to ensure the operation of the DART service to Greystones, County Wicklow; (7) Deputy Gilmore – the annual report of the Environmental Protection Agency on drinking water which shows a significant deterioration in the quality of supply in group schemes; (8) Deputy Neville – the need for the Minister for Health and Children to provide services for those suffering from Asperger's syndrome disability; (9) Deputy Upton – the urgent need for the Minister for Health and Children to resolve the issue of medical consent for foster parents and other matters related to fostering; and (10) Deputy Broughan – the need to ensure all necessary funding in the 2000 budget for the proposed new Darndale village centre.

The matters raised by Deputies Broughan, Ring, Neville and Gilmore have been selected for discussion.
