Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

60 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 cattle and sheep headage and premia. [24775/99]

The person named in this case included commonage parcels in his 1999 area aid application, but did not provide sufficient proof of his entitlement to claim one of these commonage parcels. The herdowner has been informed of this and his application cannot be processed further until the relevant proof is provided.

Ceist:

63 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 sheep headage. [24778/99]

The person named applied for a total of 27.81 hectares on his 1999 area aid application form. Following inspection of his application an area of 26.84 hectares was determined. This represents a difference of 0.97 hectares or 3.61 per cent between the area claimed and that determined.

Under article 9 of EU Regulation 3887/92, no penalty is applied when the difference is less than 3%, the penalty is based on double the difference when it is between 3 per cent and 20 per cent and when the difference is over 20 per cent, a 100 per cent penalty must be applied.

Therefore, in this case a penalty of 1.94 hectares has to be applied leaving the area determined for payment at 24.90 hectares. Any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

64 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 sheep headage payment in view of the fact there are no outstanding errors on her application. [24779/99]

The person named did not initially supply the maps necessary to process her 1999 area aid application. Therefore, the area aid unit issued maps to the herdowner to enable her to outline the boundaries of land claimed by her, and a response is awaited. The application can not be further processed until a reply is received.

Ceist:

65 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) has not received suckler cow premium. [24780/99]

The person named applied for premium on ten cows under the 1999 suckler cow scheme on 26 May 1999.

He declared on his suckler cow application that he held a milk quota but on his area aid application he declared that he did not hold a milk quota .

A query has been issued to the applicant to clarify the position and when a reply is received his application will be processed further.
