154 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if price increases for cable and MMDS television signals are approved by a regulator or by her Department; the increases, if any, which have been allowed in the past five years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24975/99]

Responsibility for the regulation of licensed cable and MMDS operators, including pricing issues, were transferred to the Director of Telecommunications Regulation under the provisions of the Telecommunications (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1996. I have no function in relation to such matters.
