Ceist:242 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Finance if the correct rate of tax free allowance has issued to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he is in receipt of his correct allowances. [25334/99]
Written Answers. - Tax Allowances.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that, according to the information available to the inspector of taxes, the taxpayer's tax-free allowances are correct. A revised certificate of tax-free allowances was issued to the taxpayer on 17 November 1999. The taxpayer's tax-free allowances were reduced in order to collect the income tax due on his social welfare pension, which is taxable, and which he has been receiving since July 1999.
