361 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will take steps to ensure that an application for registration, based upon long possession, to the Land Registry by a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath will be immediately dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25240/99]
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application for first registration which was lodged on 22 August 1997.
Since lodgment, this application has been the subject of numerous queries to the lodging solicitors ending with queries dated 26 November 1999. These queries must be satisfactorily discharged before the matter can be completed.
I can assure the Deputy that there will be no undue delay in the Land Registry in completing the dealing, provided all the documentation is in order.
