Ceist:145 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of gardaí who will be assigned to the new Garda station at Leixlip, County Kildare. [25770/99]

The detailed allocation of Garda personnel and resources to an individual area is a matter for the Garda authorities. They have informed me that the current personnel strength of Leixlip Garda station is 18 gardaí, all ranks. They have further informed me that a further review of the strength at Leixlip will be carried out on completion of the proposed new station and in view of available resources at that time.
