Before coming to the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a notice under Standing Order 31 from Deputy Gormley. I now call on Deputy Gormley to state the matter of which he has given notice to me.
Request to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
I wish to raise an issue of urgent public importance under Standing Order 31. I wish to seek leave to move the Adjournment of the Dáil to allow time for a debate on the World Trade Organisation's vitally important new trade round meeting which is currently taking place in Seattle.
Having fully considered the matter, I do not consider it to be contemplated by Standing Order 31 and, therefore, I cannot grant leave to move the motion.
