126 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will review the terms and conditions of the pollution control grants scheme in view of the fact that few applicants have qualified for it. [26491/99]
My Department does not propose to review the terms and conditions of the existing national scheme for the control of farm pollution as it is considered that the level of uptake under this scheme has been satisfactory. The detailed terms and conditions of a new scheme proposed under the national development plan for the period 2000 to 2006 currently being drawn up will take account of farmers needs within the financial resources available.
