Two separate appeals on behalf of the person named against penalties of 55% and 10% for non-compliance were considered by the REPS appeals committee on 17 November 1999. The decisions of the committee were to reduce the 55% penalty to 30% and to uphold the 10% penalty. The applicant has been informed directly of the decisions. My Department will make any payment due to the person named as soon as possible.
