90 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the proposal for a child and family support project in the Ballybeg, Kilchan Street and Herblain areas of Waterford city; and, if so, if he will support the development of this project. [26512/99]

A pilot family support project has already been established in the Ballybeg area under the Springboard initiative.

The objective of this initiative is to establish family support projects in a number of communities throughout the country to work intensively with at risk children and young persons and their families.
