Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy M. Higgins – the ineligibility of over half the total number of VTOS students in Galway city for the new training bonus of £25 per week; (2) Deputy Wall – the implications of the withdrawal from service of a number of Naval Service vessels as a result of problems with asbestos, (3) Deputy Stanton – the collection of post-primary children attending Coláiste Eoghan and CBS secondary school in Youghal, County Cork; (4) Deputy Sheehan – the imminent closure of the Molnlycke factory in Dunmanway in County Cork resulting in the loss of 113 jobs; (5) Deputy Fitzgerald – the serious situation facing the State as a result of the withdrawal of Naval Service vessels from service due to asbestos; (6) Deputy R. Bruton – the need to extend the date for the receipt of submissions on the proposed infill of Dublin Bay by the Dublin Port company; (7) Deputy Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) – the distress caused to the parents of a child who died in Crumlin children's hospital when the organs were removed and retained without permission; (8) Deputy B. Smith – the need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to approve the preliminary report in respect of the Stradone sewerage scheme, County Cavan, and have the project progressed to tender stage at the earliest possible date; (9) Deputy McGuinness – the policy of hospitals in holding human organs in storage without the consent or knowledge of the families involved.

The matters raised by Deputies Sheehan, Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny), McGuinness and M. Higgins have been selected for discussion.
