Vol. 512 No. 7

Written Answers. - Luas Report.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

94 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Public Enterprise when the report arising from the inquiry regarding the Luas docklands spur will be finalised; if she has received a submission from the residents of the apartment complex at Custom House Harbour, Dublin 1; and if the residents concerns and the alternative routes which would not involve severe disruption of a residential community will be fully considered. [27265/99]

I understand that the public inquiry into CIE's application for a light railway order in respect of light rail services between Abbey Street and Connolly Station was completed last week. I expect to receive the report of the inspector's findings in the near future. I will, of course, consider fully the inspector's report and all submissions made directly to me on the matter before making a decision on whether to grant the order. I can confirm that I have received submissions from a number of residents of the apartment complex at Custom House Harbour and I will take these into account in arriving at my decision.
