Seymour Crawford

Ceist:

218 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact the Patrician high school, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, originally built for 150 pupils, is accommodating more than 500 with the use of prefabs; when necessary funding will be provided to refurbish and extend this school to make it safe and structurally sound for educational purposes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27243/99]

Architectural planning for a proposed extension at Patrician High School, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan is continuing. This extension will provide an additional 1,988 square metres of accommodation which includes general classrooms, a range of specialist rooms, a PE hall, administration facilities and dining facilities.
