Ceist:33 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health and Children if the building of the proposed new private facility at Beaumont Hospital will mean the closure of all existing private beds at the public hospital; if specially dedicated staff, from consultants through to nursing and other health workers, will be recruited for the new facility rather than being shared between the public and private facilities; if the building of a private facility will in any way adversely affect waiting lists for the public service such as in a situation where, in view of current difficulties with staff recruitment, potential or actual public hospital staff are employed instead in the private hospital; and if he will make a statement on his position on the growth of the private hospital sector.
